UNC Charlotte's first designated meditation and reflection space opened in Fall 2017. This space started as a student-driven initiative, led by Interfaith Niners, a combination of student organizations, including the Muslim Student Association. These students advocated for and submitted a proposal to Chancellor Dubois requesting a space where students are allowed to pray, meditate and use for spiritual purposes. Once the project was approved, the student leaders of the initiative participated in the design of the space.
Peace Haven is located in Room 366 of the Cone University Center. The space is open during Cone operating hours.
